This is an excellent day run in a scenic class III canyon. Much like the Alpine Canyon on the Snake River in WY this river sees a lot of use (especially with commercial traffic).

Turn left on Tom Miner Road off of Highway 89 (about 15 - 18 miles north of Gardiner, MT). Immediately turn right and follow the dirt road down to the river.
