The author has chosen to include the one-day run on the Rio Sahuaripa, although it has little to offer and is not recommended. The first known raft/kayak descent of this section was in 2010, when the Neil Nikirk, Lacey Anderson, Rocky Contos, Tyler Williams, and John Govi decided to paddle this section after running the Rio Mulatos and lower Rio Aros/Yaqui. Who knows, this may be a favorite tubing run for kids in Sahuaripa. This section of the Rio Sahuaripa is easily accessible in the town of Sahuaripa or upstream, but the take-out at Puente Sahuaripa is pretty brutal.
