5-7 on the Grand Canyon Scale.  III to IV- on the international scale.  The canyon narrows here giving this rapid a more committing feeling.  This was one of the few rapids that Powell had to run since there was not much room to portage.  Again this is a longer set of rapids much like Hance Rapid.
