Weber River - Riverdale Wave

Utah-US

Description

The Riverdale wave premiered in the Spring of 2005 and was an instant success. The wave was engineered by Nick Turner as a high water wave-hole. Usually good only during spring runoff, the Riverdale wave is the destination of choice by the playboating crowd. On sunny spring Saturdays the parking area can see a dozen or more rack-sporting vehicles lined up the street. Hit the wave while it is up. At very high flows it isn't recommended for beginners unless they have a solid roll. At medium flows it can give a first time wave experience to an intrepid beginner. Even at low flows, the slides coming into the waves can be very exhilerating for beginners and make an exiting put-in for the mellow run down to the Ogden Kayak Park.
