Author: Jed Hawkes Subject: Housing? Posted: 13 Aug 2015 at 2:19pm As someone who works in Everett and lives in shoreline, I'd say it's not a bad deal. The reverse commute is sweet and there are some pretty easy access points for public transit on I-5 and Aurora. Obviously being close to work is better but if it comes down to it North king/South snohomish county is not a bad egg. I ride my bike 2 miles and take a bus and my commute is only 45 minutes. good luck |

| Whitewater Forum : "Old Man" update |
Author: Jed Hawkes Subject: "Old Man" update Posted: 13 Aug 2015 at 2:02pm It's got subtle changes but it's looks like a sweet boat. I'm not really one to paddle displacement hulls but If I had to pick one it would be this new large nomad or a shiva. The increased bow rocker will work well on our whitewater and they "shoveled" the bow a bit. The old bow was extremely round and the new iteration continues the subtle chine from midships through the bow. I'm guessing it will carry over rather than through features. The deck profile on the stern is almost the same as the old version so it will shed water like the first gen and the deck on the bow is very similar to the new mamba but without the width that the mamba has. It looks like a cool boat and will be a good compromise for a displacement hull boat in the PNW. |
