Thanks to JP for leading this and keeping us informed. I don't spend much time online, and haven't been keeping up with the boating community this spring, but JP contacted me personally yesterday and I can't believe this has snuck by me.  I'm a recent migrant from Idaho, so I sent all the links from PP to 60 friends, river companies and guides over there.  If you have contacts out of state, send a group email!  Make this a regional effort.

PP members,  bumping this thread and joining the outcry.  JP got in touch with me yesterday and brought me up to speed; I'm not online much lately.  I've sent info to everyone I knew from a former life as a river guide and swiftwater instructor in Idaho.  Reach out to anyone you know, make it a regional outcry.

Seems like u have been getting lots of storms w more forecast, thought your rivers would hold up with snowmelt starting? Only copy of Korbs book I could find was $200 on Amazon. Are u saying boat shops will have a copy?

OP rivers will be low. We usually run them with winter rains. Elwa and dungeness will probably go with melt. If you can find a copy of Gary Korb''s Paddlers guide to the Olympic Penninsula you would have a better idea of what might work.

Looking closer, I see the Ho and Sol Doc do look low. My bad. Sorry, thought u were BSing me. So we will look for ocean surfing and cross over to the west side of the Cascades if we want to do much kayaking.
