Nice enough stretch between roadside put-in above Woodland to Rockcliff bridge takeout. Flow was 663 and just one mandatory portage about 5-6 miles in. Numerous trees are down in river but able to slowly slide under or boat past safely. There is a spot about 2 miles in where river braids, right braid has tree across but left choice is clear although you don't want to flip at small drop as sharp...

Just seeing if anyone has any info on BV? I see Deer Creek is releasing almost 400CFS, and I thought the formula was to subtract 200CFS from that for the power plant to get the BV flow. Is it in the 200ish range, and has anyone been down yet? I saw someone on FB said it was at 160 this past weekend. Just want to get on it before it ends (maybe only a 15 minute window this year). Thanks - Wil

The WSU Outdoor Program is running a Swift Water Rescue Course SRT1 coming up May 22-24. this is an incredible cert and even includes the NFPA cert for first responders. Locations will be on the Ogden and Weber rivers. There are still 2-3 more spaces available. This will be an incredible experience and convenient to have so close. Course details can be found at: http://www.weber.edu/outdoor/swi...

Hello, I am a contributor to Canoe and Kayak Magazine conducting a story about retracing the Powell expedition route on the Green and Colorado Rivers. As such, I'm attempting to paddle all the sections via raft and/or kayak in sequence, though probably broken up over three trips. I already have my Grand Canyon permit for late December 2015 and I'm trying to put together all the previous section...

I'm permitted to packraft Desolation canyon solo in UT on the 22nd. and am looking for a ride in. I was planning to park in Green River and hitch up north and get a ride in from a shuttle service, but none of the shuttle companies are willing to transport a person in. So if anyone has connections that way I'm willing to pay a fee for this, but not the $200 the shuttle companies want for a full ...

I've heard the bad news about the U of U pool sessions. The Utah Whitewater Club is having a few sessions, but that is only once a month. Does anyone else know of open pool sessions this Winter/Spring in the Ogden/SLC/Provo area?
