San Juan Hill

This is another infamous section of the Hole-In-The-Rock mormon expedition.  Even though hole in the rock has received the most press and certainly was an impressive feet, San Juan Hill proved to be the breaking point for the pioneers.  This hill was the last obstacle the pioneers had to overcome before settling in Bluff, UT.  It is rumored/reported that the stumbling horses pulling the wagons left the sandstone bloody on this hill.
