Description

Head south on Highway 24 for about 25 miles from I-70.  This is the road that goes to Hanksville.  When you see the turn off to Goblin Valley on the right/west side of the road be prepared to turn off to the left/east about a half mile after the Goblin Valley turn off.  Follow this dirt road for 24 miles to a Y in the road.  Take the left fork to the Horshoe Canyon trailhead.  Follow the signs to Horshoe Canyon which should be around 7-8 miles from the Y in the main dirt road.

From the parking follow the old road down into the canyon and head south for 3 miles.  The pictograph panel is large so it will be hard to miss.  But it is in an alcove on the right/west side of the canyon.

This panel is one of the most impressive pictograph panels anywhere.  Everyone should see this before they die.  The rock art dates back to around 2000-4000 B.C.  The figures are considered anthropomorphs.  Many interesting figures and details here.  You could easily spend a half an hour checking everything out.
