Description

If you enjoyed the Upper Yaqui stretch the lower is not much different other than the fact that there are dirt roads and mines nearby throughout most of the run and you are traveling out of canyon country and in more open desert.  Most will choose to take out State Road 16 for convenience but those wanting a longer a run can continue on past here and add as many mellow river miles as they'd like.  There are a few villages and roads below here that offer access but none are as convenient as the paved SR 16.

This is another good beginner run for boaters wanting to enjoy some Sonoran scenery with a mellow float.
