Description

The normally run section of Daisy Creek (not to be confused with the upper section) starts below a lovely but not runnable waterfall.  If you have a good 4WD car, cross the Slate, drive up the road to an overlook where you can see the 40 foot waterfall and hike down to its base.  The run starts here and ends at the confluence with the Slate.  Frequently, people continue on for another 2 miles down the Slate.  There is no gauge on this run, but the Slate can be used as a reference point.  This run is easier than OBJ, but offers a taste of the slides and waterfalls this area is famous for.  A few years ago, the wood that gives Big Wood falls its name got blown out and lowered the pool.  Be cautious of the shalllow pool here on river right.  This has caused injuries in the past.
