Description

This is a nice class I-II section.  Very popular with tubers, some rafts, and particularly fishermen.  It will help hone your slalom skills.  One train trestle that can be problematic,  stay to the right is best.  You can portage around, pull over to the right at the buck fence.  For the take out,  I like to exit river right just before the bridge to Vivian Park.  This is after the take outs for High Country Rafting. in regards to the islands going Left, right, right  is the best route.

Rapids

# Rapid Class Recommended flow Description Scout
1 I —–—

About half way through there will be a bridge with 3 pylons. alot of  people take out and walk around the bridge to avoid being pinned. it also may be to narrow for some rafts.

2 Large Monson Boulder I —–—

On the last bend prior to reaching Vivian Park there is a large boulder on the Left-hand side of the river. Stay right of the boulder as the current will want to send you right into the middle of the boulder where many of rafts have seen their final voyage.

You can see the boulder come up from a distance. Just remeber to keep right
