Description
Grande Ronde river is a good little family river - there are a few small rapids, but the flow (drop) means you have to pay attention to avoid rocks and other issues. Most comonly floated from Minam to Troy (or mudd creek 7 miles up stream from troy) 38 miles. makes for a good three or four day float, but can be done in a weekend. lots of camps in the roadless area. tends to get busy during holidays. Can be floated from minam to heller bar for a longer trip (72 miles maybe?)
