I would encourage you to hold off on running the classIII/IV section of the Sky until you've got a good amount of time on mellower class II/III. The Sky is a pretty challenging river especially at the ~4000CFS range even if you walk boulder drop.

The main (Confluence to Split Rock) is great class 3, with Boulder Drop (big class 4), in the middle. It's portageable.
