Stanton's Cave is located in between where South Canyon drains into the Colorado and Vasey's Paradise. The cave is about 150' above the river. It is roughly 400 feet deep. The cave is named after the 1889 Stanton Expedition. This was the first expedition to follow Powell's. Stanton stored/cached some supplies in this cave.
Ancient inhabitants also utilized this cave. Twig figurings dating back to the 3000 to 4000 B.C era have been found in this cave.
