Description

The pumpkin springs located near river mile 213 in the Grand Canyon contains a travertine pool the flows into the Colorado river.  The spring water contains traces of arsenic which give the springs and travertine their pumpkin color.  Boaters are ok to soak in the springs but water shouldn't be used for drinking.  Easiest and best access is by river.
