Registration goes from 9:30-11 AM at the Headworks, and Kanasket-Palmer State Park from 9am- 11:30AM. Help us clean up the Green River and keep it one of the most beautiful rivers you can raft. Whitewater Forum : Raging river? |
Author: Mr.Grinch Subject: Raging river? Posted: 15 Mar 2017 at 6:16pm Scouting begins tomorrow early afternoon. Who knows what's up in there, but a good flush might have cleaned it up. Anyone interested? I've heard it's a fun run, not super hard but dodgy due to wood and even level if the drain is that immediate. Cheers! |

Whitewater Forum : Raging river? |
Author: megspk Subject: Raging river? Posted: 15 Mar 2017 at 6:41pm We ran it yesterday at 560cfs. At that level there were 3 portages and a lot of scouting (the trees were pretty big). If you don't know the run, you should scout anything you can't see. The wood we paddled under yesterday, may need to be portaged at levels like today. I would imagine over 1000 cfs to be a bit pushy. Have fun, but be careful! Cheesegrater and the Gorge were the biggest rapids and both clean of wood that needed to be portaged as of yesterday (3/14). Cheesegrater does have a large tree in the river coming off river right that you want to avoid. I've also got some pictures of the wood on my facebook account under Kayaking 2017 if you are curious. We put in under the I-90 bridge in Preston and took out at Fall City. |

Whitewater Forum : Pilchuck Response Team '17 |
Author: outdoorjunkie88 Subject: Pilchuck Response Team '17 Posted: 15 Mar 2017 at 6:53pm Today was a nice medium. The gauge rock was just barely under and the stick read 4.4. Lots of eddies still. Not too pushy but most of the rocks were covered and no scraping. It was clean with one river wide log that we were just able to get over. Any water levels lower than today and it would have to be portaged. Easy to see though. |
