| Whitewater Forum : Ohane (upper) not clean |
Author: Travisimo Subject: Ohane (upper) not clean Posted: 26 Dec 2015 at 11:46pm There are new features in the Ohane.... From secret camp down, the first log on left is gone. New log and Boulder (portage required) in the first of the two drops that curve right after the log slide. This is second hand because I showed up for a second lap that did not happen (lap one took longer because features have changed, blow down and the narrow left slot after the long Boulder garden is apparently a tongue now) I opted to hike into the upper to see if the log jams were gone, my heart wanted to believe they would be... Alas my favorite run is still jammed. (Ledge #1 is still plugged) ledge # 1 has not been runnable since 2006... First awesome drop after Ohanapecosh campground, I thought the flood may have cleared it... No. I'm proud to have taken the bullet for everyone that reads this... The snow was 4 foot deep in places and anyone but me should likely be committed for trying but my heart wanted it to be clean again. For a month the lower was 100% clean... I pray for Noah to visit the upper this year. :P Edited by Travisimo - Today at 12:00am |
