At higher water this is a great play spot for Kayakers.  If the water is high enough you can do cartwheels and flips without worrying about hitting the ledges on the bottom of the river.  Close parking access makes this a great park n play spot if the water levels are right.

There is a large parking lot and park just off of El Manto Drive you can park in to access the El Manto wave when it is in.  There is plenty of parking here although there is a fee to park in this lot.  You can also access the American River Trail/Walkway from here too.
